When the Lord Knocks (Homily – November 30, 2025)

The First Sunday of Advent begins with a simple image: a knock at the door. In the readings from Isaiah, Romans, and Matthew, God reveals that He does not wait for perfect conditions. He comes to the real house of the heart, the one that feels cluttered, tired, or embarrassed.

In this homily, Fr. Korey LaVergne reflects on the grace that meets us at the doorway and how the Eucharist trains us to stop hiding and welcome Christ with honesty.
